San Mamés, one of the venues of the European Championship, will host on February 13, 2020 the IV edition of the Bilbao International Football Summit (BIFS’20), which will be called «The European Championship of the cities», and for this reason it will have a list of luxury participants, as it has happened in other occasions.
In this case, former footballers Gica Hagi, coach of Vitorul Constanta, Cristian Ganea’s former team, and Gheorghe Popescu, sports advisor to the Romanian Prime Minister, will be present. Both will share their experiences along with other coaches and sporting directors to be announced in the near future.
«We want the Euro Cup to start being played at BIFS’20, that’s why in this edition we will go down from the 24th floor of the Iberdrola Tower, home of BIFS since 2017, to the stands of San Mamés,» highlighted Mario G. Gurrionero, director of this event, which will feature «a more television format, with interviews with elite coaches captained by our presenter, journalist Axel Torres, and live connections with some of the most relavantes coaches of the international soccer scene,» advanced Gurrionero, as reported on the website www.BIFS.comunicaresganar.com.

The fifth edition of the Bilbao International Football Summit (BIFS), which was to be held on May 27th at the San Mamés stadium, has been canceled by «mutual agreement» between ‘Comunicar es Ganar’, organizer of this event for coaches and sports directors, and the City Council.
The promoters clarify that this suspension of the BIFS less than a month before its celebration «will not involve any expense for the taxpayers of Bilbao» since the organization of the event «refused to make effective the sponsorship agreed for months» with the City Council of the Biscayan capital.

Valverde received the Referente Bilbao International Football Summit – BIFS’200 Award, in the framework of a new edition of the International Football Summit BIFS 2020, which is being held this Thursday at the San Mamés stadium in Bilbao, under the slogan «The Euro Cup of the Cities».
