American horror story season 7

My relationship with ‘American Horror Story’ is not what we could call good, but not bad either. A priori the ideas to theme each season are good and can give play but, when it comes to develop, the tandem of Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk blunder more often than they get it right.
‘Roanoke’ was a brilliant season, with its buts but generally great that takes the baton from the found footage films and counting with ‘Paranormal activity’ as one of its main references. ‘American Horror Story: Cult’, the seventh installment of the anthology, has a quite different approach to fear relating it to politics and control of the masses taking as an excuse the climate of the “Trump era”.
Its first episode, ‘Election night’, plays with the division of the “two Americas”, Hillary’s and Trump’s, moving them to a smaller scale in Brookfield Heights. There we meet Ally (the perennial Sarah Paulson) whose reaction to Trump’s victory goes beyond disappointment as it aggravates her mental instability and potentiates the phobias she suffers from. Trying to calm her down is her wife Ivy (Allison Pill) a convinced pro-Hillary voter.

American Horror Story: Cult, also known as AHS: Cult, is the seventh season of the anthology series American Horror Story, created by Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk. This season falls into the suspense genre and the psychological and dystopian horror subgenres.
The population of Brookfield Heights in Michigan is left divided by the outcome of the 2016 U.S. presidential election. The triumph of Donald Trump’s fear propaganda encourages Kai Anderson (Evan Peters) to set herself up as the leader of her community, starting with her younger sister Winter (Billie Lourd), a cult in which they recruit those like her who find themselves dominated by the dense atmosphere of social terror.
For her part, Ally Mayfair-Richards (Sarah Paulson) is a happily married woman for whom Trump’s triumph causes the crumbling of her long-treated emotional stability, now being continually overwhelmed by sudden nervous breakdowns, to the point of claiming to be stalked by hordes of clowns that only she witnesses.
