The Via Ferrata del Sorrosal is one of the most beautiful via ferratas in the whole peninsula. Nestled at the end of the Barranco de la Garganta del Sorrosal, where the Cascada del Sorrosal is located. Two spectacular waterfalls of 45 and 55 meters with an intermediate pool. It is set in a spectacular rock amphitheater that embraces the waterfall and the Via Ferrata del Sorrosal.

La Vía Ferrata del Sorrosal es una ferrata de nivel medio (K2), apta para todo tipo de personas mayores de 10 años. El único hándicap podría ser el vértigo, ya que el primer tramo de la ferrata recorre 100 metros de cascada.

Via ferrata of sorrosal

It is a spectacular via ferrata for the environment it has, between the impossible folds of its rocks and its spectacular waterfall of two sections. It is of a low, medium difficulty level, quite well equipped, which facilitates the progress.
Once in the village of Broto, there are signs to the Sorrosal waterfall. Just after passing the bridge over the Ara river towards Torla, we turn to a street that goes down to the left and continue along it.
This first stretch is easy and has no major complications. Little by little we gain height until we reach the base of the stairs that climb vertically next to the spectacular and beautiful Sorrosal waterfall.
At about 20 meters we find a Tibetan bridge that crosses us to the other side of the ravine, we will continue moving with side steps and we will go up to the head of a waterfall, where the ravine opens and ends the first section of the route.
To our right we find a rope rope that marks the way forward, we climb a little between boxwoods following it until you reach a wall about five meters where we get the second vertical zone of the via ferrata Sorrosal.
