Nestled in a valley of the Cantabrian mountain range, the village is surrounded by peaks of more than 2000 m above sea level, such as: Muxiven 2032 m, Cuetonidio 1779 m, El Miro 1850 m, Cueto de Arbas 2002 m, and El Cornón 2194 m.
Villager is considered the historical capital of Laciana, since in 1668 the General Council of the Laciana Valley was held here, which decreed the General Ordinances of the Valley. Subsequently, the councils of Laciana were held in the chapel of San Lorenzo, located in the surroundings of the Postoiro or Pustoiru, a square of medieval origin in which there is a fountain dated 1779. Friendliness reigns in this charming corner of the Laciana Valley. Great food without unnecessary frills, good price and customer service that I could consider one of the best I had. Very, very, very, very, very highly recommended.
