Type of slipcase: Digibook with clean back cover (technical spec sheet aside) of 44 pages (in English) containing photos, sketches… and film info and two discs (bd + dvd/digital copy) with the original 1982 version.
Nice digibook, except for the top strip of the collection. What would it have cost them to include it on the separate sheet. It really annoys me when they group films into collections and they all end up having the same style and presentation, I prefer a little more specialty in the editions (manias one has).
As for the rest, a couple of questions; have you seen if the booklet in the US giftset and the digibook complement each other well? I say this in case there is a lot of info and repeated images. And the soundtrack CD comes with all the tracks or is it a selection?
I had the 2-disc ed. on DVD but then I sold it in the San Antonio Market to buy the 3-disc ed., what a great time (I love the black edition, it gives it a touch of distinction, I don’t know why). Now, I recognize that the mega special ed. is beautiful.

E.T., the Extra-Terrestrial is a 1982 American science fiction film directed by Steven Spielberg, written by Melissa Mathison, starring Henry Thomas and distributed by Universal Pictures. The film is based on an imaginary friend of the director himself, created after his parents’ divorce. In 1980, Spielberg met Mathison and they began to develop the story, after the stalled Night Skies project.
The film, which was shot between September and December 1981 in California chronologically to achieve emotional and more convincing performances, had a budget of $10.5 million and became a box-office hit. E.T. was the highest-grossing film to date – surpassing even Star Wars (1977) – and only one other Spielberg-directed film stole the show: Jurassic Park (1993).
And with a wig
What I am going to tell you today happened a long, long time ago. Perhaps some of you already know the existence of this story, but it is worth remembering, and those who discover it for the first time will surely find it curious, even shocking. It is one of the most disturbing mysteries in the world of videogames…
Well, the game goes on sale and what promised to be the game of the century turned out to be a real trash in every way. Extremely simple graphics, a gameplay impossible to understand without being constantly with the manual and with a bug of those that make epoch: in a certain part of the game, ET fell into a hole in the ground and could not get out, it was impossible, you had to start over and over again the game, there was no way to get out of that hole. All this, together with the enormous expectation created by the movie, caused a huge disappointment among consumers.
The first part is totally true, the second part… they say it is also true. It is one of the great legends of the world of video games, but many claim that it is true, even have come in search of the remains of “ET: the video game” True or not, it is curious to see how even in our beloved world of video games there are fun legends and loaded with nostalgia. I hope that as a curiosity, you liked it. I leave the video at the end.
