Desde Locanda Miranda se puede llegar fácilmente a lugares famosos como Lerici, un pueblo marinero dominado por el castillo con vistas al mar, Porto Venere, un sugestivo pueblo en el mar y Cinque Terre, cinco pueblos marineros con casas de colores y agua cristalina. En la cercana Sarzana, ciudad medieval en la frontera con la Toscana, Carrara, la ciudad del mármol y Versilia, lugar de vida nocturna, hay muchos pubs y discotecas.

One of the most colorful festivals that adorn the festive calendar of the town is the celebration of Las Águedas, on February 5. On the day when tradition celebrates the «command of the women», the women of Miranda wear their best clothes displaying traditional costumes full of color. The celebration begins with mass, where they receive a blessing and listen to traditional songs. Then, in the square at the foot of the castle takes place the dance of the flag, an act that makes the celebration of Miranda unique. In it the mayoress of Aguedas takes a big flag to pass it over the heads of the assistants, who make a circle in the square. Later, with a carpet and a cushion in the center, the tradition is that husband and wife pass by. The husband lies down while the wife, kneeling next to him, passes over the flag three times. All while the dulzaina and tamboril are played insistently. Sometimes the children or some relatives lie next to the husband. At the end of the ceremony, a snack with pastries is served to all the attendees.
