Via ferrata olmo soler
Contenidos
Via ferrata catalunya
When we finish it, we can choose to walk back along the return path or link and continue with the via ferrata Olmo Soler (which has a little more difficulty and is longer) to the top of the hermitage of Pertusa.
The Olmo Soler is the logical continuation of the via ferrata Teletubbies and one of the easiest in the area. It is a vertical path equipped with chains, clamps, an artificial dam and life wire… through which we will climb to the ridge and to the hermitage of Pertusa.
The montfalcó footbridges
The via ferrata Olmo-Soler is very accessible and could even be considered an equipped path, since it avoids the most exposed areas. We start with a simple climb equipped with chains to the front of the cliff. Then we climb the ridge that leads to the hermitage by different rocky projections equipped with chains and cables. Finally we reach the beautiful hermitage of Pertusa, which sits on the ruins of an ancient fortress and its southern wall is completely suspended over the cliff. Its privileged location offers an exceptional viewpoint over the gorge of Mont-rebei. To put an end to our activity we follow a path in a westerly direction that descends to the parking.
If we feel strong enough, we can continue with the integral of the via ferrata Urquiza-Olmo, with a maximum difficulty of K5. We can also take the opportunity to approach the Mont-rebei gorge to visit the Montfalcó stairs or the Colomera cave.
Via ferrata olmo soler del momento
They are perfectly arranged to do them in a row, although I would point out that the second, Olmo Soler, is rather an equipped path that connects the end of the Teletubbies with the Ermita de la Mare de Déu de la Pertusa (s.XI).
After crossing a rock bridge and ignoring three steps and a rope that, literally, lead nowhere (in case, like us, you think of going up… save yourselves the effort), you finally arrive at the beginning of the Teletubbies ferrata, marked with the traditional rusty iron plate.
The route is very aerial but very simple because it is perfectly equipped, as there is always a clamp where we need it, making it perfect for beginners. And the views over l’Embassament de Canelles are great.
Leaving the final needle, we find the beginning of the via ferrata Olmo Soler. Here we will only find chains, which will help us to climb up to the top of the ridge and then turn it to leave us at the foot of the Ermita de la Pertusa, but not before leaving our mark in the guestbook kept inside a watertight canister.
