Villafeliz de babia
Wikipedia
«Already on the right, the village, on the right, lies against some gray saderones, streams without water. Between the houses and the fields, in the same valley, but outside the domain of the river, are the lands, flat, some gray, others cultivated. Then there are those of the ventina where there was an old inn, today a group of new houses, industrial district of the village; so are also the kampas of the dwerna and a little further those of the mouru and of the trabesales».
Be sure to visit the church of Santa Eulalia. In addition to its mansions and traditional buildings. It is obligatory to visit the water wells and the snow wells. The great wealth of Villafeliz is, undoubtedly, the trout fishing reserve, highly valued, and also its pastures.

Fortunately, the rain has subsided and the weather is improving, which allows us to enjoy the beauty of these little visited but really spectacular places. A chaotic landscape full of jous and dolines with abundant limestone projections.
With the Sierra los Grajos (or Alto les Fanes, as the Asturian cowboys say) at the top we approach a very deep chasm that is scary just to contemplate it. Who knows how deep it is…
Going east we soon reach Los Pozos Gentiles where we find the remains of the old hut next to the functional but austere concrete block hut of more recent construction. Next to them are several deep wells that give their name to this sheepfold.
This area is known as Los Cuérravos and from here we will go down to the town of Pinos de Babia and then continue on the road ahead until we reach San Emiliano where we will end the route.
We cross the river over a bridge and enter the town of Pinos de Babia (1270 m) where we had the opportunity to chat with several neighbors who gave us valuable information about the names of the area.

We stayed 15 friends in these beautiful cottages. We have been delighted, because each had our independence in each apartment but also have a very large common area called El Escondite where we met for dinner and tertulear. This area has a great kitchen-dining room and a living room with games and books with routes of the area. The best: the welcome of Marta and Gerardo. We are already preparing the next one. 120 % recommendable!
We really enjoyed our stay in these houses managed with so much care by Marta and Gerardo. They are spectacular hosts and attentive at all times so that we did not lack anything. The houses are perfectly equipped with all luxury of details so that we do not have to worry about anything but enjoy, relax and pamper ourselves. The environment is beautiful with many beautiful routes for walking, cycling, by car … and complete them with the delicious cuisine of the area. Totally recommended
