Saint Vincent and the Grenadines. Country formed by an archipelago in the Lesser Antilles chain. St. Vincent and the Grenadines is located between St. Lucia to the north and Grenada to the south, with the Caribbean Sea to the west and the Atlantic to the east. Its territory has a total area of 345 km², and its coastline measures about 84 km. It consists of the main island of St. Vincent and two-thirds of the Grenadines extending to the south; the rest of the Grenadines belong to Grenada. Its main islands are Bequia, Mustique, Canouan, Mayrouan and Union.
St. Vincent and the Grenadines is a parliamentary democracy within the British Commonwealth of Nations. Queen Elizabeth II is head of state and is represented on the island by a Governor General, an office largely with ceremonial functions.

Although the population lives outside the «red zone», around the volcano, the population continues to face shaking, new eruptions and the intense ash rain, which is causing respiratory problems, poor visibility and is so heavy that it is causing roofs to collapse.
«People are traumatized because they can’t go back to their homes. Some people didn’t want to leave in the first place because they were worried about what might happen to their homes. The ash clouds are affecting people’s breathing, as well as air quality and visibility on nearby islands.»
The pandemic and the need for quarantine also complicate the movement of people on the island and the deployment of emergency relief personnel. All persons arriving on St. Vincent are required to isolate themselves for 21 days.
